Terms of Service
Last updated 8 July 2026
These terms govern your use of Intermission (the "app", the "service"), a theatre visit diary that lets you log performances, write reviews, and keep a record of your theatre memories. By creating an account or using Intermission, you agree to these terms.
Your account
You need an account to use most of Intermission. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. Let us know right away if you think someone else has access to it.
You must be old enough to hold an account under the law where you live, and the information you give us when signing up must be accurate.
Your content
You keep ownership of the reviews, ratings, and photos you add to your diary. By posting them, you give Intermission the licence we need to store, display, and back up that content — and to show it to other users according to the visibility setting (public, friends, or private) you choose for each review.
You're responsible for what you post. Don't upload anything that:
- Infringes someone else's copyright, privacy, or other rights
- Is defamatory, harassing, or intentionally misleading
- Contains someone else's personal information without their consent
We may remove content, or suspend or terminate an account, that breaches these terms.
Seat photos
If you attach a photo to a review, make sure you have the right to share it. Be mindful of photography policies at the venues you visit, and of other people who may appear in your photos.
Acceptable use
Beyond the content rules above, please don't:
- Attempt to access another user's account or private reviews
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the app or its infrastructure
- Use the service for anything unlawful
Intellectual property
The Intermission name, logo, and app itself — excluding the content you post — belong to us or our licensors. These terms don't grant you any rights to our branding or software beyond what's needed to use the app normally.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep Intermission running reliably, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may update these terms from time to time — if we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
Disclaimer and liability
Intermission is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for losses arising from your use of the app to the fullest extent permitted by law, including for content posted by other users or for the accuracy of show, venue, or performance information.
Termination
You can stop using Intermission and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
